The Equotip 550 Leeb U is the direct successor to the popular Parotester. It enables the user to quickly and precisely diagnose roll imperfections, hardness inconsistencies and uneven winding, thereby preventing problems for printing and converting operations.
Portable and lightweight, the Equotip 550 Leeb U is perfect for roll hardness testing in the warehouse or on the production floor, providing an immediate visual assessment of the hardness profile.

With the Equotip 550 Leeb U, Proceq has launched the direct successor to the Parotester. The Equotip 550 Leeb U enables the reliable, fast and safe identification of unevenly wound rolls. This prevents expensive business interruptions and quality problems in existing printing or conversion processes are avoided in advance.
The successor to the Parotester impresses with excellent handling. The lightweight design of the portable device enables mobile winding hardness – checking rolls in the warehouse or directly in the production environment. This means that an immediate visual assessment of hardness profiles can be easily achieved.

The user interface of the ergonomically operated Equotip touchscreen display devices offers maximum efficiency and an extraordinary user experience in daily use. The completely revised software has an interactive assistant, enables the automation of test processes and, thanks to extensive customization options and user-specific logging functions, can be perfectly tailored to each user. The new Equotip 550 is compatible with all existing Parotester impact devices.
The spacious color display guarantees the best possible measurement and subsequent analysis of the measurement data obtained. Thanks to a specially designed housing, the Equotip can be used reliably even under the most difficult environmental conditions.

Touchscreen
The touchscreen is fully backwards compatible and can therefore be used with all existing Parotester impact devices. The support of barcode readers enables simple, fast and reliable role identification at all times. The integrated assistant for workflows with a predefined workflow improves the measuring accuracy and significantly increases the reliability of the processes. Interactive information on the screen informs the user about important, application-relevant settings.
A configurator allows the individual adjustment of measurement reports – in 11 languages and for different time zones. PC software for data transmission is available free of charge.
The housing of the Equotip was specially developed for use in demanding work environments and corresponds to protection class IP 54. The scope of delivery includes a carrying strap, an integrated stand and a sun visor.
Downward compatibility
The new Equotip 550 Leeb U is compatible with the existing
Parotester impact devices. The measurement is identical while the
endurance of the cable has been significantly improved.
