Application:
The ZAA 2600.SW is an automatic linear-stroke instrument for reproducible wet-abrasion, scrub, washability and cleanability tests. Stroke length, speed and cycle count are configured using the capacitive 5.7-inch touchscreen and can be stored as test profiles. The instrument is suitable for laboratories, quality assurance and research and development.
Different scrub sets, brushes, sponges, abrasive materials and test weights allow the instrument to be adapted to various standards and test procedures. The ZAA 2600 platform can also be expanded for Crockmeter, film-application and other testing tasks.
Automated scrub and wet-abrasion testing
In manual scrub tests, the test force, movement, cycle count and quantity of liquid may be influenced by the operator. In contrast, the ZAA 2600.SW performs the linear test movement using defined parameters, providing a reliable basis for comparable test and quality data.

Specimen tray and liquid dosing
For wet-abrasion and washability tests, the specimen is secured in the stainless-steel tray. Hose guides allow controlled application of the washing or test medium.

Film application
The instrument platform can be configured for reproducible film drawdowns using the 43010931 / ACC1339 conversion kit. The dedicated 43010100 / ZAA 2600.A version is also available.
Heated film application
The 43010926 / ACC1284 conversion kit is available for temperature-controlled film drawdowns. The dedicated heated 43010101 / ZAA 2600.HA version is also available.
Operation
- Determine the applicable test standard or test procedure.
- Select the appropriate scrub set, weight and test material.
- Insert the specimen tray and securely fix the specimen using the specimen frame.
- Mount the scrub tool on the tool holder.
- Fit the weights required to achieve the specified test load.
- For wet tests, prepare the test medium and liquid supply.
- Set the stroke length, speed and number of double strokes using the touchscreen or select a stored profile.
- Start the test.
- Supply liquid in a controlled manner during the test if required.
- Evaluate and document the specimen in accordance with the test procedure.
- Clean the specimen tray, tools and hoses after completing the test.
